So...who
am I why is this website here?
Glad you asked!
It
is most
likely that you are on this site because you know me in some
way
shape or form, but is is very possible you could be a complete
stranger. If you are, the following is for you!
So my name is Mark Nehrenz,
and I am a
student at the University of Oklahoma. I have a major in
journalism and a minor in African studies. I recently spent 3 weeks in
Kenya, and have just returned from a semester Abroad at the University
of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa. While in South Africa
I
was also able to visit Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi,
and Swaziland.
I created this website as a place to share
my
experiences with anyone who wants to hear, see, or read about
them.
As an American who wants to use whatever forms of
media I can to tell
stories about my experiences in life, this is a little
creative communication experiment.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to see some amazing
things
in the past few year. I have witnessed pure untouched
beauty coupled
with indescribable pain and suffering. I have made friends for life
an found a home away from home.
My ultimate goal for
this website is for you to leave having seen things through my eyes for
a few
minutes. What happens after that is up to you.
For the time being, please direct any questions or comments

A World of Links
The
media that I am producing goes to a lot of different
places besides just this website.
I
love making videos, plain and simple. If you love watching
videos,
check out my YouTube site. Some are serious, some are seriously
ridiculous,
Sometimes
a simple picture is the best way to tell the story.
Sometimes I see funny signs. To experience both check out my Flickr
site.
Distracting
students from class and providing food for thought at the cafeteria
every other Friday, This is where you join OU students and read what
I
think about life and so forth...
Have
you heard about this new site? I heard you can play tag with pictures
or something like that.
I'm
all in!
